Relations with Bangladesh will be strengthened: Japan Ambassador

Dhaka, 5 July 2023 : The Japanese Ambassador Iwama Kiminori said that Bangladesh-Japan bilateral relations will be further strengthened.

He said this at the first meeting of the Bangladesh-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhawan on Tuesday.

Bangladesh-Japan bilateral relations, parliamentary alliance group, human resource development, scholarships for higher education, visa facilitation were discussed in the meeting.

Ambassador Iwama Kiminori said, Speaker of Bangladesh. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury's visit to Japan has given a new dimension to Bangladesh-Japan bilateral relations. Parliamentary alliance groups are also a powerful mechanism for strengthening the relationship between the people, the state and parliament. The continuation of this process will strengthen the Bangladesh-Japan bilateral relations.

The meeting was chaired by Member of Parliament A. F. M Ruhul Haque. Member of Parliament was in the meeting as a member of the alliance group. Zillul Hakim, Fazle Hussain Badshah, Tanveer Imam, Razi Mohammad Fakhrul, Golam Kibria Tipu and Begum Khadijatul Anwar.

Member of Parliament F. M Ruhul Haque said that Bangladesh-Japan has been maintaining friendly relations for a long time. The people of these two countries are friendly and hard working. For the transformation from digital to smart Bangladesh, the cooperation of Japan should be taken to make the human resources of this country efficient and competent.

At the time, he mentioned JICA's supporting role in the development of Bangladesh, facilitation of obtaining visas for students and workers and the migration of workers to Japan after becoming proficient in Japanese.
