Dhaka, October 29: Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command has surrounded the residence of BNP leader Salahuddin Quader (Saka) Chowdhury in Goods Hill, Chittagong, who was hanged for war crimes.

On Saturday (October 29) at 10:30 a.m., a rally was organized on behalf of the organization at Jamal Khan intersection in the city. Later they surrounded the residence from the gathering.

Chittagong Metropolitan Freedom Fighters Commander Muzaffar Ahmed said in the rally, "The words 'great liberation war', 'heroic freedom fighters' and 'martyr' are associated with our existence. Convicted war criminal Saka's son Hummam Quader Chowdhury insulted it by referring to him as 'martyr'. We want immediate justice for him."

The speaker also said that during the liberation war, freedom fighters were captured and tortured in the house of Saker Goods Hill in Chittagong region. Saka used to torture the women of the freedom fighter families along with the Pakistani assassins. Meanwhile, they demanded that the wives and children of the identified war criminals should be banned from politics and their assets should be confiscated.

Earlier, the Chittagong Metropolitan and District Committee of Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command announced this program in protest against the speech of Saka Chowdhury's son Hummam Quader Chowdhury in a procession in front of the Chittagong Press Club on Friday.
