Bangladesh Road mishap leaves five people dead in Bangladesh
Dhaka, 9 October 2022 : Four people were killed on the spot in a collision between a battery operated autorickshaw and a microbus in Kanchpur, Narayanganj.
The accident occurred when a microbus and a battery-powered auto-rickshaw collided around 9:30 am on Sunday. Another person named Jamal died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (Dhamek) Hospital at around 12:30 PM. He was handsome by profession. A total of 5 people died in the accident.
The other four killed are Nooruddin (45), son of Shamsuddin Khandkar of Kanchpur area, the passenger of the autorickshaw. Hanif (30), Md. Mamun (31) and an unnamed garment worker (36).
Jamal's brother said that his brother was handsome by profession. This morning an autorickshaw collided with a microbus on the way to his shop from his home in Kanchpur. He later died when taken to Dhaka Medical.
One person died after being rescued and taken to a local hospital. Four people were sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital. Later, all four died, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kanchpur Highway Police Station Nabir Hossain said that an auto-rickshaw was going in the opposite direction on the Dhaka-bound lane of Kanchpur Bridge on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway this morning. At that time, an autorickshaw collided with a Dhaka-bound Hiis microbus. A passenger of the auto-rickshaw died at Al-Baraka Hospital in Madanpur. Four injured people were sent to Dhaka Medical.
Suman, the younger brother of the deceased Mamun, said that my brother Adamji used to work in a garment factory in EPZ. He died in an accident on his way to my home on CNG after work today. He also said that our village house is in Jhalkathi. Father's name is Mohammad Jahangir Hossain. At present Adamji lived in the area. He has one son.
The deceased Hanif's village home is in Kishoreganj district. Father's name is Billal Hossain. Lived in Jatrabari. He has one son and one daughter.
