Jatiya Party Rowshan Ershad will take nomination form soon: Chunnu
Dhaka, Nov 22: Jatiya Party (JP) chief sponsor and opposition leader Rowshan Ershad will soon collect nomination forms, said the party's general secretary Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu. He said this at a briefing at the political office of the JP chairman in Banani on Tuesday afternoon.
Chunnu said, "I don't know anything about the letter that the chief sponsor gave to the Election Commission. She told me over the phone that she will send people to collect the nomination form from the JP Chairman's office. She will also collect Saad Ershad's nomination form."
Chunnu also said that there is no basis in the rumor that Rowshan Ershad will distribute the party's nomination forms separately for the last two days. JP Chairman GM Quader collected the nomination form from Rangpur-3 seat on Monday. Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad is now a member of parliament in this seat. With this, the conflict between chairman GM Quader and the party's main sponsor Rowshan Ershad has reached a new level.
In this regard, party secretary general Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu said, "As party chairman, Golam Mohammad Quader can collect nomination form from any seat in the country. Now if Saad Ershad collects the nomination form then we will consider the matter."
He also said that the chairman or president of the party has the option to be elected from any place. Our party chairman can vote wherever he wants to vote. No one from the party dares to go there and vote. Our founder was in that seat. Now if the chairman wants to be there, then no one can have any question. He who is there does not come to the party. There is no time to worry about him.
He said, Rangpur is a place where party mayoral candidate does not have security for our candidate. It is the most important seat. If you want to be the chairman there, you can do it, we will welcome it.
