In response to the journalists' questions about the 12th National Parliament elections, the Russian ambassador said, "Elections are an internal matter of Bangladesh." Russia will not interfere in any way. We will work together with those who will form the government after the elections.

Referring to the recent Gazipur City Corporation elections under the current government, the Russian ambassador said, "Therefore, I believe that the upcoming National Assembly elections will also be acceptable to everyone."

He said, "The subsidiaries of Russia's largest gas exploration company Gazprom have been successfully drilling wells in the gas fields of Bangladesh since 2012. Recently completed drilling of 20th well at Bhola. In 2022, public and private organizations have supplied about 920 thousand metric tons of wheat. Which is 42 percent of the import of Bangladesh.
