Rangpur Awami League Sajeeb Wazed Joy becomes Rangpur Awami League's executive body member
Dhaka, December 9: Rangpur district Awami League's 75-member full committee has been approved. Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her information and technology adviser, has been nominated as the number one member of the executive body for a three-year term (2019-2022).
Awami League general secretary and bridge minister Obaidul Quader approved the committee on Monday (December 7).
In addition to the 27 members of the Advisory Council, the 75-member committee has a president, general secretary and a vice-president. There are 25 people in different secretarial posts. There is a treasurer and 36 members.
Earlier, on November 29, one year after the conference, the three-year full committee of Pirganj Upazila Awami League was approved. Sajeeb Wazed Joy was also made the number one member of that committee.
The conference of Rangpur district and metropolitan Awami League was held on November 28 last year. General Secretary of the party Obaidul Quader was the chief guest. Later on the same night, the councilor session of the district Awami League was held.
Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed was elected president and Rezaul Karim Raju general secretary. Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the party, approved the full committee on Monday, a year after the conference.
