Home Minister Same masterminds behind Aug 17 and Aug 21 grenade attacks : Home Minister
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, August 27: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the people who were behind the August 17 serial grenade attack across the country, were also behind the August 21 grenade attack at Sheikh Hasina's public meeting.
The minister said, "Those involved behind this will be found and brought under the law and the punishment will be given."
The Home Minister said these while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by Chhatra League at Tezgaon Shilpanchal Police Station in the capital on Friday (August 26) evening on the occasion of the grenade attacks on August 17 and 21 and the National Day of Mourning.
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, "We had to see the hellish scene of the grenade attack. You have seen the incident of simultaneous grenade attacks in 63 districts of the country on August 17. Mufti Hannan wanted to blow up our Prime Minister with a bomb in Gopalganj. If you are looking for the reason behind these events, they are all the same."
Mentioning that those who have conspired from behind are being traced, the Home Minister said, "Why this murder, who conspired, who has been the beneficiary, who has benefited - these things are being looked into. We will find them and bring them to justice. They will be brought to justice."
Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told the leaders and workers of Chhatra League, "The new generation has to work with the year 2041 as the target. Their talent should be further developed and strengthened. I think those who are leading the Chhatra League today will be able to do this."
