Dhaka, March 28: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has termed the US sanctions imposed on the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) as highly reprehensible. Speaking on the occasion of the 18th founding anniversary of the RAB, the Prime Minister said, "It is unfortunate that those who have imposed sanctions on some members of the RAB without any reason, without any guilt, have not been punished in their country."

The Prime Minister attended the founding anniversary of the Virtual RAB from her official residence Ganobhaban. He described the crime scene in the United States as "one of the few places where you see a child being shot, strangled and strangled (George Floyd)." If anyone commits a crime in the name of maintaining law and order there is no punishment. But Bangladesh is the only country in the world, we punish anyone who commits a crime here. '

Highlighting the success of the RAB, the Prime Minister said, "I do not know whether they (the United States) have suffered in our successes, whether it is pirates, bandits or drug lords." This is the truth that Bangladesh has achieved. In that case, I think it would be a disgrace to impose such a ban. "

Sheikh Hasina said, "America has given place to war criminals and recognized killers of Bangabandhu." The war criminals have found a place there, the self-confessed murderers of the father of the nation also live there. We are repeatedly requesting them to return, we are sending letters to the president, one president after another is coming, we are going to swear to him. According to the Justice Department, they are criminals, murderers of children and women, murderers; They must be returned to our country. But they protect criminals, give them a place in their country. And bans our country without crime. What more can I say about those whose character it is!

The United States banned seven former and current members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in December last year for alleged human rights abuses.

Addressing the RAB members on the occasion, the Prime Minister said, "Your contribution to the development of the country and the nation is immense. Because, if the law and order of the country is not stable, not free from terrorism and militancy, then development is not possible. Today, Bangladesh is moving forward on the path of development as we have been able to control the law and order of the country through the efforts of all. '

The Prime Minister hoped that the members of RAB would fulfill their responsibilities as servants of the people in accordance with the law.
