School Admission School admission through lottery, online application from November 25
Dhaka, November 12: Online application for admission in government and private schools across the country will start on November 25. The application process will continue till December 8. This time a lottery will be organized centrally all over the country for school admission. Admission forms will be sold, lottery and results will be published through Teletalk.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) on Thursday (November 11) at a meeting on school admissions for the first to ninth classes of 2022. The meeting was attended by the heads of various educational institutions of Dhaka metropolis.
According to meeting sources, due to the Covid-19 situation, it has been decided to sell online admission forms in all public and private educational institutions this year. For the first time, admission lottery of both levels will be organized centrally in all educational institutions across the country. Government school admission lottery will be held on December 15 and private school lottery on December 19.
It is learned that the students selected in the lottery from first to ninth class of government schools will be admitted from December 18 to 23. Students can be admitted from the waiting list from December 26 to 30.
On the other hand, students selected in the lottery will be admitted in private schools from December 21 to 27 and waiting list students from December 28 to 30. It is learned that the school admission time has been fixed after discussing with Teletalk in this regard.
Md. Aziz Uddin, deputy director (School) of DSHE and member secretary of the school admission committee, told Jago News on Thursday that a meeting has been held regarding next year's school admission. Heads of public and private educational institutions of Dhaka metropolis were present there. Various issues related to admission have been decided. If the admission policy is sent from the Ministry of Education, the school admission activities will be started by issuing a notification from directorate.
