Dhaka, January 18: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called upon the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to conduct field level administration activities from above all kinds of fears. She made the call while inaugurating a three-day DC conference by joining a video conference from Ganobhaban after 11:00 pm on Tuesday (January 18).

The Prime Minister told DCs that no one should be harassed when they come for services. We have to be vocal in implementing integrity as well as preventing corruption. Mentioning that a new variant of Corona is being infected in the country, the Prime Minister urged the DCs to be as vigilant and aware as before.

Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque, Chief Secretary Dr Ahmed Kaikaus and Chittagong Divisional Commissioner addressed the DC conference. Later a video documentary on field level administration activities was shown. Then the Prime Minister gave a speech.

Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said 263 proposals had been received from the deputy commissioners and divisional commissioners on the occasion of the DC conference.

DC conferences are held every year for face-to-face exchange of views between government policy makers and deputy commissioners and for giving necessary directions.
