Severe heat wave, suffering will continue for two more days

Dhaka, July 13: With less rainfall, the heat wave coverage has increased. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said that the heat wave may continue for two more days. On the other hand, the light pressure has turned into a clear light pressure and is located on the Indian coast.

There was no rain in Rajshahi division in the last 24 hours from 6 am on Tuesday to 8 am on Wednesday. Only Tetulia in Rangpur division received 5 mm and Nikli in Dhaka division received 20 mm of rain. Besides, other areas of these two divisions were without rain. The maximum rainfall of 50 mm was recorded in Rangamati during this period, according to the Meteorological Department.

According to the meteorological department, light to moderate rain / thundershowers with temporary gusts may occur in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and some parts of Sylhet division and a couple of places in Dhaka and Rajshahi divisions in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday. At the same time, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in isolated parts of the country.
