Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Awami League performs development work for people whenever it comes to power in the country.

The Prime Minister said, August 15 is a black day.

The father of the nation was killed that day. At the same time my mother was killed. Girls demand many things from their husbands, but my parents never demanded anything from my parents. When the gang of assassins killed my father, my mother said, you killed my husband, kill me too.

She also said that the invading forces took the girls to the camp and tortured them. Then the Father of the Nation brought nurses from Switzerland and treated them. The father of the nation always believed in women empowerment.

Urging the parents to be vigilant about their children, the Prime Minister said that they should keep an eye on their children not getting involved in militancy. Friendship should be developed with boys and girls.

"Give them time. The mother has to contribute more to keep the son on the right path," she said.

She said, Bangladesh was once a country of deficit. Today there is no shortage of food. Still, I request you, that no land should remain uncultivated. Cultivate whatever you can. I want the people of the country not to suffer.

Referring to the fact that only Awami League has established democracy in the country, Sheikh Hasina said, should there be dialogue? with whom? That Khaleda Zia, along with Tarek Zia, who wanted to kill me. Why should dialogue with them again?

Mahila Awami League president Safia Khatun gave a welcome address to the conference by Mahmuda Begum Krik, general secretary of the organization. Awami League central committee leaders were present in the conference.
