Dhaka, September 30: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the Bengali community's only beacon to move forward on the path of prosperity, said the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Murad Hassan, at an event organized by the Bangabandhu Parishad in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday (September 28) to celebrate Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 75th birthday.
He expressed his firm conviction to build the 'Golden Bengal' the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman dreamt of and to uphold the spirit of the great war of liberation.
Dr. Murad Hassan said, ignoring the mountainous conspiracies and fear of death, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has become a world leader today with her hard work and capable leadership. She has never celebrated her birthday with grandeur and this year is no exception. Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina is the only beacon for the Bengalis to move forward on the path of prosperity. The heartbeat of millions of people in this country."
The State Minister for Information said that no matter how many conspiracies are hatched by the anti-independence forces, all the pro-liberation forces are united today under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. As the country moves forward, no one can stand in its way. He demanded that Nur Chowdhury, the self-confessed murderer of Bangabandhu, be sent back to Bangladesh, to execute the verdict.

He said, "Under the strong leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina, we are now passengers on the highway of development. In order to continue this trend of development, each of us has to fulfill our responsibilities from where we are. We will move forward with the joint efforts of all."
The State Minister for Information further said, "Corruption, militancy and fundamentalism will not continue in Sheikh Hasina's Bangladesh. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we must be united to eradicate these evil forces from Bangladesh. If we are united then we will be able to build Bangabandhu's dream of 'Golden Bengal', Inshallah.
