Sheikh Hasina prays for India as Covid situation worsens

Dhaka, May 10: Neighboring India is having a difficult time in the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Every day news of the death of thousands of people in the country is coming in the media. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing condolences and prayers for the Indians who died in coronavirus.

The information was announced on the verified Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday (May 10). In the letter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reiterated Bangladesh's strong sympathy for India. The daughter of Bangabandhu expressed her commitment to tackle the coronavirus pandemic together.

Meanwhile, 2 crore 26 lakh 62 thousand 575 people have been identified as affected in Corona-ridden India till Monday.

So far 2 lakh 46 thousand 116 people have died.

According to the country's health ministry, 3 lakh 66 thousand 161 people have been newly infected with coronavirus in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 3,754 people infected with the virus died anew.
