Six killed in Covid, 287 new cases registered on Tuesday across Bangladesh

Dhaka, October 18: Six people died in the 24 hours from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am due to the pandemic coronavirus in the country. During this time, 287 people were identified as infected. With this, since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of deaths due to the virus in the country has increased to 29,408 people. At the same time, the number of people identified has increased to 20,33,119.

The detection rate against sample testing in the last 24 hours was 6.97 percent. Since the beginning of pandemic, the detection rate stands at 13.59 percent.

Against the total number of identified patients, the death rate so far is 1.45 percent.

This information was reported in the regular press release of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (October 18).

Meanwhile, 554 people have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered patients stands at 19,75,406.

The recovery rate is 97.16 percent.

The notification also informed that 4,111 samples were collected and 4,120 samples were tested in 882 labs. So far, the total number of samples tested under public-private management is 1,49,56,819.
