SSC exam in April next year, HSC exam in June

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 13: The SSC exam of 2023 will be held next April and HSC will be conducted in June. The SSC and equivalent examinations of 2023 in the short syllabus will be held in April next year and the HSC and equivalent examinations will be conducted in June.

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said this at a press conference in the conference room of the ministry on Tuesday.

She said, "Students currently studying in class 10 will participate in SSC, Dakhil and equivalent examinations in 2023. These students failed to appear for the JSC and JDC examinations in Class 8 in 2020 and also for the annual examinations in Class 9, while many of them have attended online television classes all this time, many may have attended online classes and done assignments."

The Education Minister said that the SSC, Dakhil and equivalent examinations of 2023 will be held according to the re-arranged syllabus of 2022.

She said those who are currently studying in class 9, will take part in HSC, Alim and equivalent examinations in 2023. These students were supposed to take classes in class 11 from July 1 last year, but they have been able to take classes since March 2 this year. In other words, they have not got the opportunity to take classes for eight months already. If their normal class activities continue till next December, they will be able to participate for a total of 200 working days (normally 330 working days).

It was further informed at the press conference that the class activities of SSC-equivalent candidates will continue till February 2023 and the classification of HSC-equivalent candidates will continue till March 2023. This year SSC and HSC examinations will be held in full marks and on time in all subjects.
