SSC Exam SSC exam in new curriculum from 2026: Education Minister
Dhaka, May 30: A new curriculum has been introduced in the sixth and seventh classes from this year. Accordingly, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said that the SSC examination of 2026 will be conducted in the new curriculum.
The Minister of Education gave this information in her address as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 'Smart Education Festival' organized by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) at the International Mother Language Institute in Segunbagicha in the capital on Monday.
The new curriculum has started in the first, sixth and seventh classes from last January. It will start next year or 2024 in class II, III, VIII and IX. Then in 2025 it will be started in fourth, fifth and tenth class. The new curriculum will be introduced in class XI in 2026 and in class XII in 2027.
In the event, the Education Minister said that the evaluation process is starting from this year in the light of the new curriculum. But it will take some time to understand its various aspects. It will also take some time for teachers and parents to get used to. But students are quickly getting used to it and will go.
Regarding the new curriculum, the Education Minister said that the new curriculum will be fully implemented in 2025 (up to class 10). In 2026, students will start taking the SSC exam in the new curriculum. Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury indicated the revision of the National Education Policy-2010.
In the speech of the special guest, she said that the aim of Smart Bangladesh will be to make education a comprehensive education. Whatever stream it is. A madrasa student should also acquire all the life skills, he should not lag behind an English medium student. All the students should get all the skills and knowledge, that should be the main goal of our smart education. For this purpose, we should expect further change or transformation of the education policy of 2010 AD, the discussion is coming.
