Dhaka, September 21: Durga Puja, the biggest festival of Hindus, will be held in the first week of October. The police have already made extensive preparations across the country to celebrate this religious festival smoothly.

Cyber ​​monitoring will ensure the security of every pujamandap from the construction of the idol to the end of the immersion and prevent any rumours. Intelligence surveillance has been increased so that no one gets an opportunity for any kind of inactivity. Devotees can come to the shrines and pay their respects without any fear. Security will be strengthened across the country. Senior officials of the law and order forces have informed this information.

Officials say that social media will be monitored so that no one can create any kind of rumors about Durga Puja. Apart from this, various unnamed media outlets will also be monitored. Leaders of the Social Harmony Committee appointed by the Prime Minister's Office are also working nationwide for this purpose.

Every year around Durga Puja somewhere in the country there is a cycle of vandalism of idols or destruction of harmony in pujamandap. To stop this kind of inactivity, this year the local public representatives and local leaders are coordinating with the leaders of different religions.

There will be police security at the puja mandaps during idol making before the puja, night police security and Ansar deployment from before the puja starts till the end of the puja. Security will be ensured with metal detectors at the entrance to the shrine. Besides, the people in the local pujamandap committee will perform the duties. It has been asked to submit a list to the local police about who will be on duty at what time. The members of the law and order forces will also be active to ensure that no one can spread any kind of unpleasantness or misbehavior or rumours, during the pilgrimage.

Besides, each worship hall will be covered by CCTV. There will be vigilance in white clothes on various roads during the puja including around the puja mandap.

This year, autumn Durga Puja will be held in 32 thousand 168 pujamandaps across the country. To ensure overall security during the puja, this mobile court will be operated and legal action will be taken if the visitors who come to the puja mandap are evted. There should be CCTV in every worship hall. Volunteers will have mandatory armbands.
