Strict lockdown to be imposed in Bangladesh after Eid

Dhaka, July 18, 2021: State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain has said Bangladesh economy depends a lot on Eid.

Many have raised cows. Considering everything, the restrictions on movement have to be relaxed. However, hygiene rules must be followed. The mask should be used until the vaccine is given. The lockdown that is coming 14 days after Eid will be tougher and tougher.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding parade of the 97th recruit batch of Chuadanga-6 BGB at 12 noon on Saturday (July 18). Special guests on the occasion were Solaiman Haque Joarder, Member of Parliament for Chuadanga-1 constituency, Brigadier General Mashiur Rahman, Regional Commander, BGB Jessore Region, Mohammad Khalequzzaman, Director, BGB.

26 soldiers of the 96th recruit batch received training at the Chuadanga-6 BGB office. The concluding parade was held at the end of six months of training.

The state minister also said that garment and industrial factories, including government and private offices, would remain closed during the 14-day lockdown from July 23 after Eid.

He added that the agricultural economy is moving forward in Bangladesh. Meherpur, Chuadanga and Kushtia are agricultural economic zones. This area has been neglected for so long.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is developing every region including this one as an important region. Mujibnagar, Meherpur and Jhenaidah roads have been made very beautiful.

In future, domestic airports will be set up in the middle of Meherpur, Chuadanga, Kushtia and Jhenaidah for regional connectivity.
