Sudden rain, wind lash Dhaka

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 28: For last few days, the whole country, including the capital, was feeling intense heat. However, the capital has cooled down a bit on Sunday night due to strong winds and rain. And it was a relief in the intense heat.

It started raining with strong winds before 9 pm and lasted for some time. However, in the evening, the Meteorological Department had forecast rain in six divisions including Dhaka.

Meteorologist Tariful Newaz Kabir said, "We have recorded 2 mm of rainfall till 9 pm. The trend of rainfall has started. The rains have temporarily reduced the heat in the capital."

The forecast for the next 24 hours from 6 pm said that in some places of Sylhet division and in some places of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Barisal and Chittagong divisions it is likely to rain with gusts or gusts of wind or thunderstorms.

Elsewhere in the country, the weather will be mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna and Chuadanga districts. Day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged.

Most of the western light pressure is located in the foothills of the Himalayas, West Bengal and adjoining areas. The normal light pressure of the season is located in the South Bay of Bengal. Rain or thunderstorms may continue for the next 48 hours.

Today, the maximum temperature recorded in the country is 36.6 degree Celsius in Rajshahi and the minimum temperature is 17.5 degree Celsius in Tentulia.
