Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 10 December 2023: A mild to moderate cold wave may sweep over the country this month itself. Along with that, the temperature may drop further. Meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque of Bangladesh Meteorological Office gave this information on Saturday.

He said, "Today the lowest temperature in the country was recorded in Chuadanga at 16.2 degrees Celsius. Also today the lowest temperature was recorded in the capital Dhaka at 19.7 degrees Celsius and yesterday the highest temperature was recorded in Dhaka at 23.5 degrees Celsius. It is winter in this condition. The situation is not ready to sit still. But the temperature may drop further on or after December 15." As a result, mild to moderate cold current may flow towards the end of this month, said Nazmul Haque.

He said, now there is no chance of getting hot. Even if it is sunny, there will be a feeling of winter. However, Nazmul Haque believes that even if there is no such winter, the temperature may drop a little. Besides, northerly winds are blowing across the country including the capital, which will continue for now. Weather over the country may remain dry with partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate fog may occur over the country from late night to early morning.

Night temperatures may drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperatures may rise slightly across the country. West/Northwest wind speed 08-12 kmph. The relative humidity of the air in Dhaka at 6 am today was 98 percent.
