Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 7: After eight working days, the 17th session of the 11th National Assembly has come to an end.

On Wednesday (April 6) afternoon, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury read out the President's order and adjourned the sitting. The session had started on March 28.

Earlier, Leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Deputy Leader of the Opposition GM Quader made concluding speeches. A total of nine bills were passed in the session. The first private bill of the 11th Parliament was also raised in this session.

In this session, the lawmakers asked 35 questions to the Prime Minister. She has answered 17 of those. Meanwhile, 857 questions were submitted for other ministers. Ministers answered 563. On the last day of the session, a resolution was passed thanking the head of government and the government for making 'Joy Bangla' the national slogan.

Journalists were able to enter the parliament building during the session, which was held due to the constitutional obligation amid the pandemic. However, they had to undergo Covid-19 test in every 48 hours. Earlier, journalists were not allowed enter the parliament building during the entire session due to the pandemic. Members of Parliament and staff of the Parliament Secretariat also had to undergo Covid test to enter Parliament.
