Dhaka, March 6: The Bangladesh Army has said that no evidence of the use of explosives was found in the explosion that took place at a science lab on the third floor of Shireen Mansion in Dhaka.

Major Md. Kaiser Bari, commanding officer of the Army's 57 Engineering Company, said this in response to a question from journalists after inspecting the scene on Sunday afternoon.

He said, "We are members of the Bangladesh Army's bomb disposal unit. We initially checked the spot with explosive detection equipment. After initial observation, we understand that the incident was not caused by explosives. If any explosives were used in the blast, our equipment would have detected it." could understand through."

"As we initially found no signs of explosive use, further investigation will determine the exact cause of the explosion later," he said.

Asked what initially appeared to be the cause of the explosion, Major Bari said, "It could have been any kind of explosion. But we need to investigate further to know the exact cause."

On Sunday (March 5) at 10:50 a.m., there was a sudden loud explosion. Then all around is covered in smoke. Three deaths have been reported so far in this incident. The deceased are Shafiquzzaman, Abdul Mannan and Tushar. 13 injured people are receiving treatment in the hospital. Among them, six people are receiving treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute and seven people are receiving treatment at the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital.
