Foreign Secretary Masood Bin Momen will sit in a joint consultative meeting with Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra in New Delhi on November 24.

Diplomatic sources say that the Foreign Secretary's visit to New Delhi ahead of the 12th National Assembly elections is very important for political reasons. The meeting will discuss the overall issue of relations between the two countries. Among the issues expected to be resolved at the Momen-Kwatra meeting are water distribution; In particular, the Teesta issue and defense, energy, trade, electricity and border management can be discussed. Apart from this, there will be a possibility of the election of Bangladesh on political issues.

Recently, the issue of Bangladesh elections was discussed in the meeting of defense and foreign ministers of India and the United States in New Delhi. In that meeting, Washington was informed by New Delhi that how the elections will be held is an internal matter of Bangladesh. However, Washington has not yet openly commented on New Delhi's position on Bangladesh. But it has already become clear that Washington does not agree with New Delhi about the election of Bangladesh.
