The first session of Bangladesh National Assembly to start today

Dhaka: The 16th and 2022 sessions of the current Eleventh Jatiya Sangsad will be held on Sunday (January 18) at 4 pm.

It has been decided to hold the session till January 26. However, if the Speaker of the National Assembly wants, he can extend the time. This is the winter session of Parliament. According to the constitution, the President addressed the first session of the year. So on this day the President said. Abdul Hamid will give the speech.

The presidium nomination will be given at the beginning of the session on Sunday. They will preside over the sittings of Parliament in the absence of the Speaker or Deputy Speaker. After that mourning will be offered. After the condolence motion, the President will deliver a speech. Then the session of Parliament will be adjourned.

The motion of thanks on the President's speech will be discussed. The first session of the year is usually longer. But as the incidence of corona increases, the session will be shortened as much as possible.

Members of Parliament will be able to go to Parliament in rotation like other sessions of the Corona period. Before that, everyone has to be tested for corona. However, Leader of the House Sheikh Hasina, Leader of the Opposition Raushan Ershad (he is out of the country due to illness), Chief Whip of the Parliament Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury, Deputy Leader of the Opposition Golam Mohammad Quader, Chief Whip of the Opposition Moshiur Rahman Ranga will be able to attend every sitting of the Parliament.
