Dhaka, May 15: Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said, "Our next election manifesto will be 'Smart Bangladesh'. Although I am saying it beforehand, this will be our main, that is, we will make Bangladesh a Smart Bangladesh. There will be no poverty in Bangladesh, all the country People will have a better life."
She said this at a press conference at Ganobhaban on Monday (May 15) afternoon about the recently concluded tripartite tour.
Asked whether the government has any other plans to increase the age limit for government jobs, Sheikh Hasina said that those who could not take the exam due to covid or could not appear in the selection exam, have been relaxed. It has happened.
Regarding the increase in the salary of government employees, the Prime Minister said, "When we increased the salary allowance in 2015, we found in a study that the salary will increase at the rate of one percent along with inflation. Every year we increase the salary in line with the increase in inflation. We have also given many opportunities, starting from Baisakhi allowance, flat purchase allowance, car loan etc."
"As inflation has picked up a bit, we are thinking about how much more opportunity we can give in that space. Commission, do this, do that, it doesn't make a lot of money. Some people get deprived, some people get deprived," she said. "It is profitable. For this, we will increase the salary in line with the increase in inflation as calculated every year."
