The US Deputy Secretary of State pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Dhaka, October 15: US Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun on Thursday laid a wreath at Dhanmondi 32 in honor of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The curator of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum N. I. Khan greeted him and took him on a tour of the museum.

Earl R. Miller, US Ambassador to Bangladesh and Shah Ali Farhad, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were also present.

The US Deputy Secretary of State paid tribute to the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh through a wreath-laying and wrote in a book for international visitors: We want to see Bangladesh as a strong, independent and prosperous country in the next 50 years, which will make Bangabandhu proud.

The US Deputy Secretary of State arrived in Bangladesh on a three-day official visit on Wednesday.

He met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Affairs Minister AK Abdul Momen and State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md. Shahriar Alam is a significant aspect of this visit.
