Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 16 March 2024: General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said that another election should be held if the government wants to change. There is no alternative to change the government without elections. The change that took place was through democratic elections. He said these things at a press conference organized at the central office of Awami League on Bangabandhu Avenue on Friday.
Obaidul Quader said, BNP leaders are spending their time comfortably. Workers who were brought into the field with hope, those workers are now disappointed. It is not the case that BNP workers will protest by calling the leaders. In a word, BNP has now lost the ability to organize.
He said, people are not with BNP, not in people's movement, people are confident in Sheikh Hasina's leadership. People of this country have accepted his honesty and leadership. After 75, no honest, hardworking, efficient leader was born in the country. So the people of Bangladesh are with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
General Secretary of Awami League said, no embarrassing statement is desirable. Those who are responsible, it is appropriate to talk about their responsibility. All of us responsible should refrain from making statements that are embarrassing for the government. Awami League Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque and Afzal Hossain, Office Secretary Biplab Barua, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr. Abdus Sobhan Golap, Deputy Office Sayem Khan and others were present in the press conference.
