Dhaka, March 14: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that there is no democratic and constitutional crisis in the country, and there is no such crisis before the nation, for which there is any necessity or need for dialogue between political parties.

He said that the National Assembly elections will be held after the next five years.

In a statement on Wednesday, Obaidul Quader said these while condemning and protesting the irrational and thoughtless statements of BNP leaders.

In the statement, Obaidul Quader said that the 12th national parliament election was held through the spontaneous participation of the people. Being elected by the people of Bangladesh, the current government is managing the country by keeping the people's aspirations.

He said that elections have already been held at various levels of local government across the country in a fair and peaceful manner. The Awami League government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to empower people and strengthen democracy. And the main goal of the current government is to overcome the multi-faceted inactivity of anti-national evil forces, conspiracies and obstacles and advance the country's development journey to the desired goal.

He said, "BNP leaders are recklessly and irrationally raising the issue of dialogue through dialogue in front of the media. This talk of the disunited BNP, crushed under the weight of political bankruptcy, is meaningless. Because they indulged in destructive activities before the 12th National Assembly elections without regard for political norms. In order to keep the democratic system intact, BNP was called for discussion by the President and the Election Commission, but they did not respond. Rather, they made all-out efforts to thwart the elections."
