Dhaka, 10 April 2022: Education Minister. Dipu Moni says there is no need to always find the smell of conspiracy in everything, but conspiracy does happen somewhere.

"We are observing recent developments. What happened is very sad. He was speaking to reporters after a seminar at the Institution of Engineers (IEB) on Saturday (April 9) afternoon," she said. Earlier, a seminar titled 'Future of Education in Bangladesh Perspective' was held.

The Education Minister said, "Bangabandhu has ensured freedom of religion and practice of religion in our constitution. In the same way, we have to move forward with science and technology."

Earlier in the seminar, Dipu Moni said, "We have just seen an attempt to create an intolerant environment between religion and science." There are probably many more reasons for this. We need to find out why. We have to go to the place of tolerance. We will not interfere in anyone's religion. We have to be respectful of religion and move forward with knowledge, science and technology.

"We have removed the age barrier to admission to technical education," she said.

"There should also be no age limit for university admissions. There should be a system for anyone from any discipline to come and get admission in the university," she said.

Referring to his experience at Dhaka University, she said, "I wanted to do a one-year diploma at the Institute of Health Economics, Dhaka University after completing my doctorate and studying public health."

"But I was not allowed to. Because you need an honors degree from Dhaka University. Like the rest of the world, we are talking about a multi-disciplinary approach, again creating obstacles everywhere. These practices are not related to the university concept," she said.
