Own correspondent, Dhaka, 19 March 2024: Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said, Awami League gives, knows how to give, and stands by the common people. Those who constantly think of removing Awami League from power, overthrow it, do not allow elections, kill people, commit arson, but now they do not give iftar to any people, they themselves attend iftar parties. Even while there, they gossip of Awami League without mentioning the name of Allah's Messenger.

The Prime Minister said these things at a discussion meeting organized by the Awami League on the occasion of celebrating the 104th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day 2024 on Monday (March 18) afternoon.

She said, "We will not have an iftar party, we will distribute this food among the common people. Only Awami League and our affiliated organizations Jubo League, Chhatra League, Volunteer League and our elected representatives are distributing iftar among the common people."

"You eat and put on a microphone and bring down the Awami League government. What is the crime of Awami League, it made this country independent? Is it a crime? What is the crime of Awami League, it stands by the poor people? Is it a crime that the country has progressed today? The democracy they talk about, we But I have brought that democracy back."

The head of government said, "After killing the father of the nation, he declared himself the president and sat in power, the party that created the best of power, by which democratic system was that party created? It was not through any democracy, it was done by illegally grabbing power. They are again democracy. Do they understand the language? Do they understand the meaning of democracy? Can they spell democracy? That is my question. They ask you whether they can spell democracy or not. They will not understand that either. They are saying like parrots, they are fighting for democracy. Awami League has returned democracy to this country. Awami League gave democracy. Awami League practices democracy within its own party and in the country. Today people can talk about having democratic rights."
