Dhaka, December 15: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader commented that the defeated forces of 1971 are still conspiring against the country. He said this to reporters after paying tribute on behalf of Awami League at Rayerbazar Massacre Memorial on Wednesday morning.

He said that the process of the government is continuing to bring back the murderers of Bangabandhu and implement the verdict. Some progress has been made in this regard. The defeated power of 71 seeks revenge. The forces on the side of the liberation war must unite to thwart this conspiracy.

At that time Awami League Presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, Dr. Abdur Razzak and Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary Dr. Hashan Mahmud, Organizing Secretary Ahmad Hossain and Afzal Hossain, Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr. Abdus Sobhan Golap, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary. Abdus Sabur, Office Secretary Biplab Barua and others were present.

People from the capital and its surrounding areas started coming to Roy Bazaar from the morning on Martyr Intellectuals Day. They lined up and laid wreaths at the memorial of the martyred intellectuals.

On the occasion of Shaheed Intellectuals Day, the Central Theater is holding a symbolic stand program to pay tribute to the martyrs at Asar Roy Bazar.

Earlier, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the nation's best children at the Martyr Intellectual Memorial in Mirpur.
