Chittagong Three hill terrorists arrested with guns in Chittagong
Dhaka, July 10: Police have arrested three hill terrorists with local-made guns and gun powder from Chandanish in Chittagong. They were sent to court on Sunday morning. Earlier on Saturday night, they were arrested from Shantirhat area of Dhopachari Union, Ward No. 4 of Chandanish Police Station.
The arrested are- Kiliram Tripura (36) son of deceased Satyaban Tripura of Rawangchari area of Bandarban hill district, Dehel Tripura (34) son of Shigrang Tripura of Alikadam police station area and Subhash Tripura (22) son of Nandamani Tripura of West Dhopachari in Chandnaish. One country-made single-barreled gun, three dhamas and one gun powder were recovered from them.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandnaish Police Station Anwar Hossain said that some terrorists are carrying out various criminal activities including extortion by holding people hostage at gunpoint in Dhopachari hilly area of Chandnaish. These mountain terrorists are being identified. On Saturday night, three terrorists were arrested by raiding the area based on secret information. In the raid, one domestic single-barreled gun, three dhamas and one kauta gun powder were recovered from them. A case has been filed against them.
