Dhaka, July 25: RAB has arrested three members of the new militant organization Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya, including its chief Md. Anisur Rahman alias Mahmud, from Munshiganj. At this time domestic and foreign firearms, bomb making equipment, extremist books and cash were seized from them.

RAB-10 and RAB headquarters raided a house in Munshiganj district's Lauhjong upazila on Saturday night and arrested them. The remaining two arrested are Kazi Saraj Uddin alias Siraj (34) and Mahfuzur Rahman Vijay alias Babul alias Jambuli (28). These two people are Amir's bodyguards.

Earlier on the night of June 23, the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) arrested Shamin Mahfuz, the founder of the new militant organization Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya (most wanted) and his wife in Demra area of the capital.

In a press conference organized at RAB Media Center on Monday, RAB Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin said that Md. Anisur Rahman alias Mahmud wanted to make the new militant organization 'Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya' a powerful militant organization in South Asia. He had a target killing plan by organizing the organization.

A team of the intelligence wing of the RAB headquarters and RAB-10 arrested three members of the new militant organization Amir Md. Anisur Rahman alias Mahmud on the basis of intelligence information on the basis of intelligence information.
