Three people electrocuted while moving poles in Kishoreganj's Bhairab

Dhaka, August 26: Three people died due to electrocution while moving solar power poles in Bhairab of Kishoreganj. Three people were injured at this time. The incident took place at Bhairav Power House Harijan Palli on Friday (August 26) around 12:30 PM.

The deceased are - Milan Lal Harijan (35), son of Ganesh Lal Harijan, a resident of Harijan Colony, Sudarsha Kumar Deb Dibu (16), son of Johnny Lal Harijan, Md Mubarak (22), son of Tajul Islam of Taherpur Upazila of Sunamganj district.

The injured are - Abdullah Mia (35) son of Moktar Hossain of Bhairabpur Uttarpara, Sunny Roy (14) son of Riku Roy of Harijan Palli, Sakal Roy (13) son of Chandan Roy of the same area.

According to local sources, solar power poles were being lifted from the side of the road and installed inside the house in Harijan Palli at noon. At this time the pole is touching the main wire of electricity. Six people were injured. When they were rescued and taken to the local upazila health complex, the doctor on duty declared the three dead. Besides, the injured are under treatment in the hospital.

Eyewitness Swapan Harijan said, "Solar electricity poles were being removed from the side of the road in the afternoon and were being taken inside the house. The pole tipped and fell on the main power line. At this time, three people died due to electric shock."

Bhairab Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mohammad Sadikur Rahman Sabuj said that three people died due to electrocution. The government will provide financial assistance to the families of the deceased. If anyone is found guilty or guilty in this incident, then legal action will be taken against them.
