Hathazari Madrassa Three senior teachers take charge of Hathazari Madrassa
Dhaka: A three-member panel has been appointed as Muhtamim (director) to run the Al Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Mueenul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari, as opposed to the post of director general that was vacated by the death of controversial Islamic thinker Allama Shafi.
The decision was taken at a meeting on Saturday night.
They are- Mufti Abdus Salam Chatgami, Allama Sheikh Ahmad, Maulana Yahya.
At the same time, Allama Junaid Babungari, Secretary General of Hifazat-e-Islam, has been given the responsibility of Shaykhul Hadith, Head of the Madrasa and Nazime Talimat (Director of Education). Maulana Hafeez Shoaib has been appointed as the Assistant Director of Education.
According to the decision of the Shura Committee, this three-member committee will solve all the problems of the work of the Madrasa and all will have equal rights. No one can make a decision alone. A committee was formed to investigate the vandalism and looting of teachers' rooms in the name of student movement in the madrasa with Allama Sheikh Ahmed, Allama Junaid Babungari, Maulana Omar, Maulana Yahya Mahmud and Mufti Jasim Uddin.
Besides, the decisions taken at the Shura meeting during the movement, including the expulsion of Anas and Nurul Islam Jadi, have also been upheld.
The meeting was attended by Allama Muhibullah Babungari Hafi, Allama Nurul Islam Jihadi Hafi, Allama Noman Faizi Hafi, Maulana Salauddin Nanupuri Hafi, Maulana Suhaib Sahib Hafi, Maulana Omar Farooq Hafi and senior teachers of Jamia.
The Shura Committee has decided to call on the government to reopen the Hathazari Madrasa to continue its formal education in compliance with the health norms of the time. To this end, the Bangladesh Board of Technical and Madrasa Education will request to withdraw the announcement of closure of Al Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Moinul Islam Hathazari Madrasa.
It may be mentioned that Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, Amir of Hifazat-e-Islam and Director General of Hathazari Madrasa, breathed his last on Friday (September 18) evening while undergoing treatment at Azgar Ali Hospital in the capital. Allama Shafi, who has been the director general of Hathazari Madrasa since 198 in the face of student movement, resigned last Thursday.
