Travel through Banglabandha-Phulbari land ports to start soon

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 21: Soon the movement of people will start through Banglabandha and India's Phulbari land ports. Earlier, port traffic was stopped due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said these things after inaugurating the Retreat Parade Gallery at Banglabandha Zero Point on Thursday afternoon.

He said, "India cooperated as a friend during the liberation war and I got a lot of support from the Indian BSF during the liberation war. I remember those days. Today's retreat parade is a sign of brotherhood between the two countries. We think this friendship will remain unbroken for ages."

The Home Minister said, "The relationship between the two friendly countries will deepen. We will all walk together, and sing the song of development together. Indian BSF IG Ajay Singh and I congratulate all the Indians present at our event and Bangladeshi BGB for giving us a beautiful event."

He said that the BGB and BSF contingents organized this parade as part of strengthening the mutual cordial relationship and increasing trust existing between the two border guarding forces in addition to expanding the sense of brotherhood between the people of the two neighboring countries.

BGB Director General Major General Sakil Ahmed, Member of Parliament of Panchagarh-1 Constituency Majaharul Haque Pradhan, BGB North West Region Rangpur Region Commander Brigadier General ABM Nowroz Ehsan, BSF North Bengal Frontier Siliguri IG Shri Ajay Singh along with BGB of both countries, and BSF officials were present there.
