Two financiers of Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya arrested

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Nov 9: RAB has arrested three people including two financiers of the new militant organization 'Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya'. Besides, a woman member who was motivated by militancy has been de-radicalized and returned to her family.

They were arrested from the Signboard area of ​​Narayanganj on Tuesday (November 8). RAB's Legal and Media Wing Director Commander Khandaker Al Moin said that in the last four rounds, several youth and new militant organization Jamaatul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya were arrested who were involved in militancy. Based on their interrogation and intelligence information, three persons including two financiers of the organization were arrested.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin also said, besides, a female member inspired by militancy has been de-radicalized and returned to her family. This RAB official also said that details will be given in a press conference at Karwan Bazar RAB Media Center on Wednesday (November 9) at noon.

On the night of November 3, the chief financial coordinator of this new militant organization Muntashir Ahmed alias Bachchu (23), the coordinator of the migrated members Abdul Quader alias Sujan alias Faiz alias Sohail (24), Ismail Hossain alias Hanjala alias Mansoor (22) and military RAB arrested Helal Ahmed Zakaria (33), the third highest person of the group.

RAB said in a press conference the day after the arrest of seven home-left youths on October 5, that some leaders and activists of various levels of banned militant organizations in Bangladesh, especially JMB, Ansar Al Islam and Huzi, got together and started the activities of this radical militant organization. From the year 2017, the attempt to bring the youth to this new platform started by inciting militancy.
