Dhaka, July 28: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that under the leadership of information and communication technician Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the country is developing a technology-based economy today. The establishment of Digital Bangladesh has created employment for millions of youth in the IT sector.

He said this in a greeting and congratulatory message sent by Awami League on the occasion of the 53rd birthday of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Information and Communication Technology, Visionary Leader of Digital Bangladesh on Thursday.

Obaidul Quader said, "More than half of the total population in Bangladesh is young. Sajeeb Wazed Joy is taking Bangladesh forward by increasing the enthusiasm and creativity of this youth. He has made an outstanding contribution in showing the dreams of the youth and making them come true and making them entrepreneurs."

He said that Sajeeb Wazed is leading the young generation in a well-planned way to prepare them for the fourth industrial revolution and harness its potential.

Obaidul Quader said, today is the happy birthday of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of the greatest Bengali father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the privileged son of the successful Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On this day in 1971, he was born on a fiery day in the great struggle of the Bengali nation. Sajeeb Wazed Joy was in long exile with his mother Sheikh Hasina after the killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family.

He said, after overcoming all the adversities and obstacles, he got educated in higher education. He received a higher degree from the famous educational institution of the United States - Harvard University. However, despite being educated in western education, no fascination could overwhelm him. As a member of the family of the father of the nation, he renounced all illusions and came back to Bengali. He gave his acquired knowledge for the prosperity of the Bengali nation.
