Airport Security Uniforms will be same for all employees at all airports
Dhaka, June 26: Uniform dresses are being introduced for every member of security agencies working at all airports in the country. Air Vice Marshal Md. Mofidur Rahman, Chairman of Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB), said this at a public hearing organized to improve the quality of passenger service at Shahjalal International Airport on Sunday. In response to a question from journalists, Mofidul Rahman said that there are members of the police, Ansar and Air Force for security at the airport. Although they are different forces, their job is to ensure aviation security. As their services are same, we will introduce a uniform to them. The process of finalizing the design of the uniform is in its final stage.
In response to a question about the baggage of the airlines, the CAAB chairman said that many times the airlines come to the country with passengers in narrow body aircraft (small aircraft). Not all luggage can be brought then. We have already alerted the airlines about this. Besides, we have asked those who come with narrow body aircraft to leave some seats empty.
Regarding the behavior of the officials with the passengers, the CAAB chairman said, I had a big concern at the airport that the passengers are treated well. To ensure this, we have arranged training for all stakeholders of the airport. Airport authorities are also sitting with them, discussing with them besides training. Those who are performing well are being recognized as best staff to motivate them more.
