Biden Hasina Meet US President Biden meets Hasina, clicks selfie
Own correspondent, Dhaka, 9 September 2023: US President Joe Biden took a selfie after meeting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who is visiting Delhi. Joe Biden took a selfie on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Delhi on Saturday. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen and Prime Minister's daughter Saima Wazed were present there.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is participating in the two-day G20 summit to be held in Delhi on September 9 and 10. He reached Delhi on Friday afternoon. US President Joe Biden arrived in India on Friday to attend the summit.
Although the G20 Summit started on Saturday, its preliminary phase started on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss bilateral issues with the leaders of 15 countries at the end of this multilateral event. It started on Friday evening. Yesterday, Modi held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the official residence on Lok Kalyan Marg.
Modi held a meeting with the three countries at his residence yesterday. Before Sheikh Hasina sat in discussion with the Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, later with the President of the United States Joe Biden.
Modi's discussion with the rest of the leaders will be held after the summit on Saturday. Modi has invited the Prime Minister of Bangladesh as the only special guest from South Asia in this conference.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed on strengthening Delhi's ties with Dhaka in Friday's meeting. Both agreed to take effective steps to further strengthen the existing relationship.
After the meeting, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen briefed the results of the bilateral meeting between the two Prime Ministers. The bilateral meeting was held at the official residence of the Prime Minister of India.
