US's five observations on lifting ban on RAB

The minister said, "We have discussed the Rohingya issue. I thanked them. We discussed that they are continuously putting pressure on Myanmar to repatriate the Rohingyas and that they are providing all possible support to the Rohingyas we have given them shelter here. I discussed with them the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza. We discussed the Russia-Ukraine war that plagues all of us today and how it was disappointing for all of us that this war suddenly broke out after the Corona pandemic."

He said that the topic of the meeting of the President of Ukraine with Sheikh Hasina at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) was discussed here.

"We discussed the issue of sending Rashed Chowdhury, the self-confessed murderer of Bangabandhu who had fled to the United States, back to Bangladesh. We have multifaceted support on security issues, we work together. We have contacts in the international arena," he added.

The foreign minister said, "We have discussed the lifting of RAB sanctions. They gave five observations. We are working on them. They also started working on how to remove it, discussing their observations. We also discussed their investments. We discussed how to enhance that, how they can contribute more to our development journey."

When asked about the five observations given by RAB to withdraw the ban, he said, "Those observations have been communicated to us, they have given details. Will give it to RAB, will work on it when we get it. We await the details of the five observations they made."
