National Mourning Day Vow to take Bangladesh to the path of light by confronting communal conspiracies
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, August 15: Communal forces are still conspiring in the country, this conspiracy should be countered and the country should be led towards the light. On Sunday (14 August) night, the speakers said this at the rally before the light procession organized by 'Amra Muktijoddhar Sontan' (We are the children of freedom fighters).
The procession then started from Manik Mia Avenue in the capital and ended at Dhanmondi 32. At this time, the oath was taken in front of the portrait of the Father of the Nation, and Fateha recitation and prayers were offered for the souls of the martyrs on August 15.
Speakers said that during this crisis of global recession, opportunists and anti-nationals are trying to catch fish in muddy waters. Now the children of the brave freedom fighters have to unite and stop the plot of the traitors. On the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation, they carried out this procession with 47 torches.
The procession of light was inaugurated by the president of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Liberation War and a member of the Presidium of the Awami League, Shajahan Khan, a brave freedom fighter. Besides, Mrinal Kanti Das, Awami League's Liberation War Affairs Secretary, was present as the chief guest.
Shajahan Khan said, "We can never allow this country to be opposed to the spirit of the liberation war. They are trying to destroy the spirit of the liberation war. This effort had been made for 21 years since 1975. But every time the freedom fighter's children resisted it."
He said, today the light will shine in the hands of the freedom fighter's children. Through this injustice and communalism will be removed from the country. Bangabandhu's golden Bangladesh will be created.
In the speech of the chief guest, Mrinal Kanti Das said, "They want to create an unstable situation in the country, they want to prove Bangladesh as a terrorist country in the world. They want to create another August 15. But as long as the brave freedom fighters, children of freedom fighters, and their generations are alive in this country, their hope will never be fulfilled."
