Dhaka, March 14: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "They killed my parents on August 15, tried to kill me with grenade attacks, bomb attacks, and I still sat in a meeting with them only for the sake of the country. But they still insulted repeatedly. What is the purpose of meeting with them after so many insults?"

She said, "I held a dialogue in the last election, what is the result, they did nothing but question the election. They took money by giving 700 nominations for 300 seats. Then they themselves withdrew from the election and questioned the election process."

She said this at a press conference at Ganobhaban on Monday (March 13) afternoon, summarizing her recent visit to Qatar.

In response to another question, the Prime Minister said that free, fair and impartial elections are necessary for the stability of development and progress in the country.

She said, "Now there is no chance of vote rigging. We have made voter list with photos. NID has been added. There is no chance of election with fake voters. We wanted to vote in EVMs, many objected. Election Commission will use EVMs as much as possible. Voters will vote through the use of modern technology."

The prime minister said that development has been possible because the democratic process continues in the country, and said that Awami League works with a sense of responsibility towards the people.
