Withdrawal of advance income tax on vaccine imports

Dhaka, February 20: The government has withdrawn advance income tax or NIT on the import of any vaccine, including corona vaccine, privately. The information was given in a circular signed by National Board of Revenue (NBR) member Md Alamgir Hossain on Thursday (February 18).

It is learned that this decision has been effective since last Tuesday (February 18). With the withdrawal of NIT, from now on, no vaccine, including corona, will have to pay advance tax at the import stage. Earlier, there was a rule of paying 5 percent advance income tax on vaccine imports.

Ongoing Coronavirus Vaccination Activities The people of the country are getting vaccinated with enthusiasm. As of Thursday (February 18), about 18.5 lakh people have been vaccinated across the country.
