Dhaka, 27 November 2022 : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that the government has no objection to the program of BNP but attack on people will not be tolerated.

The prime minister said this while addressing the sixth tri-annual conference of the Bangladesh Mahila Awami League at the historical Suhrawardy Udyan on Saturday (November 26). Addressing the mothers at the conference, Sheikh Hasina said that the environment should be created so that boys and girls can tell their thoughts to their mothers. Then they will not go astray. In this case, the mother has a great role, it must be performed properly.

She said, "I have done 18 thousand community clinics. Girls get treatment in it. Only girls work. I have appointed 30 thousand nurses and 45 thousand doctors across the country. I treated lactating mothers free of charge. I am making all kinds of arrangements for women. We have arranged 60 percent jobs for girls in primary education."

Highlighting BNP's oppression of women, Sheikh Hasina said that even a 60-year-old woman was not spared from a 6-year-old child during the BNP regime.

"Similarly in 71 women were brutally tortured," she said.

Pointing out that Islam is the only religion that has given equal rights to women, Sheikh Hasina said that Islam is the only religion where women have been given equal rights. Islam has given the right of women to the wealth of husband and father.

She said, "Women should contribute to any achievement. Half of society is women. Society will not progress if they are stagnant. Men and women should move forward on an equal footing. I have paved the way for women to be appointed as judges, secretaries, DCs, SPs. Today our girls are showing great skill in every field. Women in United Nations peacekeeping missions are getting praise from the world for their good work."

The Prime Minister said, I am making houses in the shelter project. I am giving equal share to men and women there. If someone leaves his wife, that house will belong to the woman, not the man. So that no one gets a new house and brings a new wife. Addressing the girls, he said, how many things girls demand from their husbands. I never saw my mother demanding anything. Rather, he used to say, you do your work. I will see everything including family.
