Dhaka, November 28: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that the government will not obstruct the BNP rally on December 10. But if they come to play with fire and sticks, the people will be given a befitting reply. Obaidul Quader said this in the opening speech at the tri-annual conference of Pirojpur District Awami League on Sunday (November 27).

He said that the central conference of Chhatra League on December 8 has been fixed on December 6 on the instructions of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina so that BNP can hold a fair rally on December 10.

Referring to BNP as a terrorist group, the general secretary of Awami League said that the Canadian court has declared BNP as a terrorist group. Their politics is arson in the name of movement. It is not so easy to make a leader who escaped to London with a bond under the condition of not doing politics. Time to fool people is over.

Regarding the demand of the caretaker government, Awami League general secretary asked BNP secretary general and said, "Which country in the world has a caretaker government? It was your leader who said that nobody is neutral except children and lunatics. The caretaker government is now banned by the court, it is now in the museum. Stop dreaming about the caretaker government. There is no use, the next national election will be held in Bangladesh in the same way as it is held in different countries of the world."

Amir Hossain Amu, a member of Awami League's advisory council, spoke as the chief guest at the conference under the chairmanship of Pirojpur district Awami League president AKM Awal. Besides Awami League Central Executive Committee member Abul Hasnat Abdullah, Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizational Secretary Afzal Hossain, International Affairs Secretary Dr. Shammi Ahmed, Industry and Commerce Secretary Siddiqur Rahman, Pirojpur District Awami League General Secretary MA Hakim Howladar. Other central and local leaders spoke.
