Made in Chittagong 'Made in Chittagong' to release in US
Dhaka, February 10: The Bangladeshi movie 'Made in Chittagong' is releasing in the United States today (Friday, February 10).
Following on from last year's success, this year Bioscope Films is releasing the movie in the US as their first release.
It will be shown in 51 theatres in about 22 cities, including New York's Jamaica Multiplex Cinema. Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas will have 28 shows throughout the week, Bioscope authorities said. Besides, they said that the number of halls will increase in the second week.
Imraul Rafat is the director of the movie 'Made in Chittagong', the first film of Bangladesh made entirely in the regional language of Chittagong. Enamul Kabir Sujan is the producer of the romantic comedy genre movie produced under the banner of Rupakatha Productions. Musician and actor Partha Barua, Aparna Ghosh, Saju Khadem, Naseeruddin, Mukit Zakaria, Chitralekha Guha etc. have played various roles in this movie by OTT producer Binge.
On this occasion, a press conference was held in Jackson Heights on February 6. The press conference was attended by Bioscope Films head Raj Hamid, the film's producer Enamul Kabir Sujan, the film's actor Partha Barua joined online. Actress Tarana Halim, actor Saju Khadem, Chitralekha Guha and others congratulated the event through video message.
Raj Hamid, head of Bioscope Films, said that the movie 'Made in Chittagong' will be subtitled in Bengali and English. Bioscope Films has also taken over the release of the movie in Canada and the Middle East in Dubai, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
