'Osombhab' releasing today

Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 3 November 2023: Popular actress Aruna Biswas made her debut on the big screen as a heroine in the 1986 film 'Chapadangar Bou' directed by Razzaq. Earlier this actress worked in stage and TV plays. Aruna Biswas is appearing as a filmmaker for the first time. Her movie 'Osombhab' is releasing on Friday.

'Osombhab' is an movie about love-conflict, dignity-sentiment, one's own culture and patriotism. Gazi Abdun Noor and Sohana Saba played the two main roles in this government grant movie. There are also Abul Hayat, Shatabdi Wadud, Shahed Sharif Khan, Swagta, Shahid Qadri, Nafis Ahmed, Jyotsna Biswas and many others.

Aruna Biswas said, "Apart from acting, I have worked behind the camera for a long time. Apart from dramas, two short films have also been produced. It is with that experience that I took up the challenge of the movie 'Osombhab'. It will be worth it.”

Gazi Abdun Noor said, "The story of the movie has a similarity with the name. Its story is really beautiful. It is a movie to watch with family and friends. And Aruna Biswas is a well-known face of the country. This is her first movie. She has done the work with a lot of care. We all believe the audience will like the story. And if everyone likes it, our pain will be worth it."

He further said, "It was my privilege to work in this movie. I played the role of Mr. Amlendu Biswas who is called the Emperor of Jatras. I got a chance to act in some of the Jatrapalas that he did. This is my biggest achievement."

Sohana Saba said, "A very simple story is 'Osombhab'. A familiar next door story. The movie has our traditional Jatra art, commercial style as well. I enjoyed the character a lot while shooting. I also got Aruna Didi's mother Jotsna Biswas aunty in this movie."

Osombhav's lyrics are by Rabindranath Tagore, Atul Prasad Sen, Bhairav Nath Gangopadhyay and Gazi Mazharur Anwar. Anima Roy, Champa Banik gave voice to the songs.
