Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 7: One hundred and three people of the total 184 members, who had lost their full-time membership of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association (BFAA), have got their memberships back.

These 103 members are again eligible for the voting rights and other benefits of the BFAA.

The decision was announced by BFAA President Ilias Kanchan at a meeting of the executive members of the artists' association on Wednesday (April 6) evening.

He said 20 of the 184 members had died, while the rest were still unaccounted for. The court order to return the memberships of the them came in February. Following the order, the list of members of the artists' association was added on Wednesday.

The artists are thanking Kanchan-Nipun and their leadership committee for getting the memberships back. One of them, Shabnur Ratan, said, "There is no language to thank Nipun Apa. Kanchan Bhai, Riaz Bhai, Simon and others worked hard to bring back our memberships. Today, everyone is crying with joy after getting back the membership."
